 The pageant is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009, at the Clarion Area Senior High School Auditorium. Anyone who is a resident of Clarion County or attends a school in Clarion County and in grades 7-9 may participate. Deadline for submission of this application is at the Orientation Tea on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. This Orientation Tea is from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Sutton-Ditz House Museum located at 18 Grant Street, Clarion.
First Rehearsal includes a talent review on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Clarion Area High School located at 214 Liberty Street. All contestants must perform their talent. Song selections will be on a first come first serve basis.
You need to bring the following items to this meeting:
All costumes, props and accessories for your 2 minutes 30 second talent presentation. All contestants must have 2 cut-copies of their music. There will not be an accompanist for the rehearsals or pageant. ALL TAPES WILL BE COLLECTED AT THE FIRST REHEARSAL.
- Interview Outfit (i.e. Church Dress, Dress Suit, Pant Suit, etc., plus all accessories).
- Evening Wear (i.e. Cocktail Dress, Long Gown, Palazzo Pants, etc., plus all accessories).
- Runway Competition - (i.e. Friday night fun wear, plus all accessories).
- Opening Number -- $35.00 fee

Tickets for the pageant go on sale at the Clarion Area Chamber of Business & Industry on August 3, 2009. RESERVED SEATING ONLY AT $10.00 EACH.
ONE FINAL NOTE, the Clarion Area Chamber of Business & Industry WILL NOT endorse solicitation for individual sponsors. If you choose to pursue individual sponsorship, they will not be recognized in the Pageant Program Book.

Interview Award -- Best Overall Interview Score
**Essay Award -- 100 words or less Topic -- Will be announced at the first rehearsal. Each contestant will be asked to write their essay and submit it at the first rehearsal.
**This will be judged independently and previous to the pageant. The results will be announced at the competition. Winning essay will be used in the pageant production.
Miss Photogenic Award -- 3 photos will be taken of each contestant, judged independently and used in the pageant production. The results will be announced at the competition. Each contestant must contact Pageant Photographer, Fred Graff, to schedule a time for the “Miss Photogenic” Award. You can contact Fred at (814) 797-5594 to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. THESE PHOTOS MUST BE TAKEN BY FIRST REHEARSAL.
Miss Congeniality Award -- Contestants will vote the day of the interviews
