WHO: Any child up through Sixth Grade.
WHEN: Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Parade starts at 6:00p.m. RAIN or SHINE, with line-up starting at 5:30p.m. You will be contacted with your line up number. **SEVERE WEATHER (i.e. rain with lightning, heavy downpour, tornado warnings, etc.): Thursday, October 1, 2009**.
WHERE: (NEW LINE-UP LOCATION & PARADE ROUTE) The parade will line up at the Immaculate Conception Church parking lot and will proceed on Main Street to 5th Avenue. The procession will turn right onto 5th Avenue and right again onto Madison Road. Parade participants will continue on Madison, with the parade ending back at the Immaculate Conception parking lot.
JUDGES WILL SELECT FIRST AND SECOND PLACE WINNERS FROM THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
- Best Costume
- Best Decorated Wheelers
- Best Decorated Wagon
- Best Float
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
- Best Use of Theme
- Creativity
Participants will receive up to TEN (10) points for Best Use of Theme and
up to TEN (10) points for Creativity. The highest total number of points in
each category will win First Place and the second highest number of points
in each category will win Second Place. The combined decision of the judges is final.
- ALL MOTORIZED VEHICLES MUST BE OPERATED BY A SENIOR LICENSED DRIVER
- PRIZE WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY PHONE THE DAY AFTER THE PARADE
- COOKIES & REFRESHMENTS FOR EVERYONE FOLLOWING THE PARADE AT THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH PARKING LOT
- ALL ENTRIES SUBJECT TO NATIONAL CITY ® AUTUMN LEAF FESTIVAL™ COMMITTEE APPROVAL
