Return to this site again in August to officially register for the Junior Olympics.

The Clarion Area Chamber of Business & Industry is updating information on the website. The following information is from last year and should be used for reference only.

 It is now time to register for the 21st Annual “Junior Olympics“!!!!! If you are ages 5 - 12, (age 12 by October 4, 2009) and attend school in Clarion County, you are eligible to participate.  The Olympics will be held at the Clarion University Stadium Football Field on Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 1:30p.m. - 3:30p.m.  Each athlete will participate in 4 events:  Standing Long Jump, Dashes, Softball Throw, and Modified Javelin Throw.

There are 7 categories by age:  5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11-12.  YOU ONLY COMPETE AGAINST PARTICIPANTS OF THE SAME AGE AND SEX.  The top three winners in each event/age category will receive medals.  Anyone who completes the entire day's activities will receive a ribbon.

In order to participate YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER.
Deadline for registration is Friday, September 18, 2009
Only the first 50 participants are accepted for each of the age/sex groups.  
All entries are on a first come first serve basis.
