Deer Creek Winery Celebrates their 1st Anniversary:
Denny and Rhonda Brooks are living their dream at their land on Soap Fat Road in Shippenville, PA. A strange name for a road, but a great place for a little country winery featuring their signature Deer Creek Raspberry, a semi-sweet dessert wine, and Raspberry Royale, a dry wine with toasted almonds, from the adjacent raspberry farm they planted a few years ago.

They opened the winery Sept 1, 2009 with only the Deer Creek Raspberry wine and now their wine list includes 13 different traditional and fruit wines.

Enjoy a family day with sales, food, various local vendors, kids activities and live bands 1 PM-4:30 PM! See our Raspberry farm, take a wagon ride around the farm every hour, do some wine tasting and see lots more, we’re always family friendly…”

      7:00pm - 9:00pm

      Gemmell MPR, Clarion University Campus

The University Activities Baord is pleased to bring internationally known sex educator Jay Friedman to Clarion University His lecture performance, entitled The J-Spot: A Sex Educator Tells All, will be held Tuesday, September 14th at 7pm at the Gemmell MPR. Far from a doom and gloom presentation, Friedman's lecture will entertain while educating his audience about important and timely sexuality issues. The event is open to the entire campus community.

The J-Spot: A Sex Educator Tells All is Friedman’s newest lecture performance. A recent reviewer raved that “It’s a lecture performance a la The Vagina Monologues that provokes as it electrifies audiences about the things everyone cares about: sex and relationships…. This is an educational and entertaining event better than any class on campus.”

Friedman addresses a whirlwind of topics with sensitivity and playful humor. Audiences can expect to learn such things as:
      • The three conditions to meet before you're ready to have sex
      • The truth about whether men really explode if they don't have sex
      • The mysteriously missing sexual organ
      • How to make condoms feel oh-so-much better
